So, since there are seven school days left *twitch* before graduation, I thought I'd start a little countdown...and a little blurb to go with said countdown.

Seven Days:

Close to the end. After thirteen years in the public education system, time to move on to...college. Which is probably going to be a blast. There's actually a lot of people I know heading north for school, so we won't be completely alone!

I went to my teacher this afternoon to talk to her about three missing assignments that I know for a fact I've turned in and remember doing so. This is bringing my grade down almost a full letter, hence me talking to her. So anyway, she didn't believe me. I've always, always, always turned in her assignments on time, done every one of them not late once.

No, she won't believe that. She wanted a character reference, but then after that comment proceeded to say that I have no character. Well, I ended up finding one of the not-so-missing assignments and handing it to her, proving that it was her fault. Apparently though, grades were already 'final' leaving me with a lower grade and a hurt GPA.

She told me that she really wanted to turn this on me because she didn't "Like my attitude" and I'm about one hundred percent sure that it's because I am not a fan of Shakespeare. She then proceeded to ask what I would do to make her happy.

Needless to say I'm talking with my counselor tomorrow with my parents to transfer out of her class and also to get her in trouble. I don't think it's acceptable to always place the blame on a student.

I just got my official acceptance letter to Utah State University. There are no words to describe how excited I am. And now the only thing I'll have to pay up there are the fees because I get full tuition for two years.

It strikes me as funny that people will only hear one side of the story and immediately side with that person.

Has anyone ever thought about checking out the other side? The story's probably completely different -- if not the truth. I mean, think about it. Friendships are lost because there are some that will only hear one side and go "Oh, what a bitch! Kseeyabye." and ya know what? That's petty. Hear both sides before you make that final cut.

Trust me on that thought. I've been friends with quite a few Drama Mamas and if they start something, I go to the person they're talking about it and hear them out because it's likely that the said Drama Mama just wants attention or that person wronged them so now they think that said "evil-doer" deserves to be punished.

Knock it the hell off people. There are always two sides. Think about that next time you decide you want to cut ties because of what one person said.

Epic. Win.

As you guys know, I'm Editor In Chief of my high school paper. Well, these past few months haven't been going so well. Deadlines are getting shot hell and no one is cooperating. And now my advisor's talking about dropping to twelve pages instead of sixteen. And I don't want to do that because one, that makes it sound like I can't lead people worth a damn when I'm trying my best, and two, my old EIC would walk around with a smug look and say "I knew she couldn't handle it." and I don't want that.

Anyway, I need ideas. Motivational ways to get people to work together better and realize that this is a class and that what we do is an important thing. I've tried all the ways I can think of, talking to them one on one, offering bribes...hell, I even yelled once. Nothing seems to be working. So...if anyone has any ideas, I'd take them.
